List of discounts available to holders of Riga resident’s card extended
The list of discounts is extended by venetian blinds manufacturer SIA “Osval un ko” and professional photo and video equipment rented out by “Photorent”. To receive the discount, you have to register your Riga resident’s card or show it to the discount provider’s employee as required. So far holders of Riga resident’s card have used discounts at Riga 1st hospital, Riga 2nd hospital, Riga Zoo, Riga Maternity Hospital, “Mēness pharmacies”, healthcare institutions of “Veselības centru apvienība”, as well as in sanatorium “Jantarnij bereg”. Also from July 1 holders of Riga resident’s card can buy 1-hour ticket for public transport and to pay for parking services in tariff zones B, C and D with a 20% discount.
To receive a Riga resident’s card, a person has to declare his/her place of residence in Riga or to own a real estate in the city. One can apply for the card electronically at www.rigassatiksme.lv, section “Tickets”, subsection “Types of e-tickets” and “Riga resident’s card”. The card can be also received in any of “Rīgas satiksme” customer service centres.
